VA Aid & Attendance


The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has this special benefit for Veterans and surviving spouses who require regular assistance with activities of daily living.                                                  

This benefit is for honorably discharged Veterans and their surviving spouses. The Veteran must have served 90 days or more of active duty, with at least one day of service during a wartime period. The Veteran must have a non-service related medical condition which requires assistance with activities of daily living. The Veteran must meet asset requirement (Excludes personal home or car) and the income to medical expense ratio.
